University of Washington Huskies
Guava Beach Bar & Grill is proud to be the Official Home Bar for the University of Washington Huskies & the SD UW Alumni Club!
For the Huskies, last years’ pandemic cutting the season short was especially disappointing. “There’s really a sense of unfinished business with our football team,” says Jimmy Lake who will be coming back for his 2nd season as UW head coach. With so many returning starters on both sides of the ball, the Huskies will have tremendous depth. And although incumbent quarterback Dylan Morris won 3 of 4 games last year, there’s been a significant roster development — the arrival of Sam Huard. He’s a five-star recruit from Seattle, the program’s highest-rated player ever at this position, the son of Damon Huard and nephew of Brock Huard, both former Huskies, and NFL QBs. Whoever the starter, it’s a good time to be a Huskies quarterback as the protection should be highly reliable. Lake returns all five starters from the largest offensive line in school history, one that averages 6'5" and 323 pounds. Senior tight end Cade Otten is a returning first-team All-Pac-12 pick and possibly the nation’s best blocker at his position. With all this talent, the UW Huskies are legitimate contenders for the Pac 12 championship!
