Los Angels Lakers

Guava Beach Bar & Grill is proud to be the San Diego Home Bar for the Los Angeles Lakers

With Davis’ season-ending injury and Russell Westbrook’s “inefficiencies”, our Lakers fell short last year and coach Frank Vogel was let go. However, a lot has changed this Summer and things are looking promising for the Lake-Show! Adding veteran Patrick Beverly brings a “3-and-D” player who is a tenacious lock-down defender (earning All-Defensive honors three times) and brings in outstanding outside 3-point shooting that the Lakers desperately need. Additionally, the Lakers bolstered their roster up with young guys that can play with more energy and effort around the star duo of Davis and LeBron James; key additions include Troy Brown Jr., Thomas Bryant, Damian Jones, Lonnie Walker & Juan Toscano-Anderson. Perhaps the most important addition is new head coach Darvin Ham. Ham comes highly recommended; he spent much of his apprenticeship with Mike Budenholzer, first with the Atlanta Hawks and then, most recently, with the Milwaukee Bucks (where he won a title in 2021). Anthony Davis has been working hard to be in optimum shape to avoid injuries and carry a heavier load. Davis will be the driving force of a bounce-back year as Los Angeles will be looking to him to lead on both the offensive and defensive sides of the floor. Let’s not forget about King James – recently signing a two-year extension through the 2024-25 season. The greatest player in the game had a phenomenal year last year and doesn’t look to be slowing down in any way. Given the depth that the Lakers now have, it’s CHAMPIONSHIP OR BUST!!

Fans at Guava Beach have supported our boys in purple & gold year after year- as true Lakers fans stick by their team in both good times and bad. Guava remains the best beach bar in San Diego to cheer on our 17-time NBA Championship Los Angeles Lakers!
