Founded in 1969, the San Diego Padres are one of only two MLB teams that originated in California, along with the Angels. While they continue to chase that elusive World Series title, the Padres have firmly established themselves as perennial postseason contenders and one of the most exciting teams in baseball. They also call Petco Park home - widely regarded as one of the best baseball stadiums in the nation.

The current roster is loaded with talent, blending electric superstars with a deep rotation. The offense is anchored by franchise cornerstones Manny Machado and Fernando Tatis Jr. and complemented by All-Stars such as Xander Bogaerts and Jake Cronenworth. On the mound, a strong pitching staff is led by veteran aces Nick Pivetta and Joe Musgrove, alongside established young pitcher Mason Miller, while a dynamic young core - including rising star Jackson Merrill - points to an exciting future.
