All right, all right, all right! The 2026 Minnesota Vikings season is upon us!
As we navigate a new era and a very different QB landscape, the Vikings enter a defining season led by newly acquired veteran quarterback Kyler Murray and first-year general manager Nolan Teasley . JJ McCarthy has lost his spot as QB1, and our beloved team is now in the hands of a very capable—and intriguing—Kyler Murray.
The regular season kicks off at home against the Green Bay Packers on September 13, 2026 , in a true divisional test that should give us an early glimpse of where this team stands and how the season might unfold.
Coming off a 9–8 season, fifth-year head coach Kevin O’Connell faces high expectations to revitalize the offense around Murray’s mobility and his dynamic connection with superstar wideout Justin Jefferson . Murray’s ability to scramble and throw on the run could create the time and opportunities for JJ to stretch the field—something we’ve been missing and desperately need.
Meanwhile, superstar defensive coordinator Brian Flores looks to build on last year’s elite, top-ten defense in hopes of securing a playoff return and making a run at the NFC North crown.
With playmakers like Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, Aaron Jones Jr., Mason West and newly acquired 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings , this offense has plenty of weapons. On defense, stars like Andrew Van Ginkel, Dallas Turner, Christian Darrisaw, Josh Metellus, Isaiah Rodgers, Blake Cashman and others make up a formidable unit that should wreak havoc on opposing offenses. And who knows—maybe Isaiah Rodgers will have another “perfect” game this year!
